What are the parking arrangements?
Cedar Cottage has a street space directly in front of the cottage which is unofficially available for guests. This is free parking. We have a ‘No Parking’ sign outside the front of the cottage to deter parking there so the space is left available for you.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check in is usually from 3pm and check out is 11am.
We want you to be able to enjoy your last morning with us so have made it later than many other holiday rentals, however we do request that you do leave by 11am sharp to allow us enough time to get the property ready for our next guests.
If we can accommodate a complimentary later check-out or earlier check-in we are happy to do so if at all possible (i.e. if we have a day between guests stays) and if you would like to request this, we ask that you contact your local housekeeper the day before your arrival or departure to check if this is possible.
Can you provide any recommendations?
With your pre-arrival email we provide a link to a range of eating and activity suggestions. We will send this email around 7 days prior to arrival. During busy times and weekends we advise pre-booking before your stay.
Are there any good walks from the cottages?
Yes! We supply a personalised walking map with your cottage at the centre of the map so that you can walk directly from the doorstep. We have a few suggest walks in the guest information pack at your cottage and some information also in your pre-arrival email.
Is your cottage dog friendly?
Yes! We welcome dogs at both of our properties.
Please let us know if you are bringing a 4 legged friend when you book so that we can welcome them with a dog bed, and dog bowls. We do request that dogs are not allowed on the furniture and are not left unattended at the cottages.
*Cottages are cleaned very thoroughly, especially after a pet has been visiting, so please be assured there is no trace of animal when the next guest arrives.
Are the local pubs, restaurants and shops dog friendly?
The Cotswolds is very dog friendly. Virtually all pubs and restaurants welcome dogs as do most shops.
Do you have a secure outside space at your cottage?
In short yes.
Cedar Cottage has a large sunny front terrace with outdoor dining and BBQ as well as a side path leading to the outhouse and woodstore at the back of the cottage which is enclosed by fencing and walls. At the front, there is trellis fencing and a front gate to enclose the area, but there is a small brick pedestal on either side of the front gate which is only about 3ft high. Although a small space, it could potentially be jumped over if you have a dog who is determined to escape.
How do I book with you?
The best way to book with us is direct with us via our website. We guarantee that the rates will be lowest on our website compared to any third party booking agent. We take credit card payments through our secure payment processor Stripe.
What are your cancellation terms?
We take full payment up front at time of booking. If cancellation occurs, we will refund 50% of your fee if there are still 28 days to your arrival date.
Do you accept children?
We welcome babes in arms to our cottage.. As it is designed for couples seeking a getaway and space is limited, we do not advise bringing older babies or children. We can supply a cot, a highchair and a baby bath should guests require them.
Are you available during our stay?
We have a self check-in arrangement via a key lockbox. We have our own local housekeeper who can be contacted during your stay and is very helpful. We will provide their details in our pre-arrival email and at the cottage. I am also available via phone or email. We want you to have an excellent trip and so we are there for you if you have any questions or need help with anything during your stay.
Do you have WIFI?
Yes all cottages have excellent WIFI and we have desk/workspace areas in both properties.
Do you have SMART TV’s?
We have two SMART TV’s, one in the ground floor living room and one in the 1st floor snug, so that you can sign in to your own movie and TV streaming services.
